Conceptualizing and structuring an educational app for interactive touchscreen exhibit, curated by the German ministry of the environment (BMU). On this project, I worked alongside with Sinnema and Facts and fiction team members. I was part of developing theme concepts, creating wireframes, prototyping and design consulting.
The purpose of the app was to engage and educate visitors in fairs and events. The interactive exhibit contained a great deal of information. Users of the app encountered difficulties in handling the interface and soon abandoned the interactive exhibit.
A challenge I faced was to construct a great amount of content efficiently, whilst creating an intuitive interface as well as increasing the app engagement and user retention.
With the wide age range of the target group in mind, I introduced the strategy of combining informative language with gamification methods.
After gathering positive feedback, The BMU requested more themes for version two of the app.
